She has two decades of experience as a Practitioner and Educator in Massage Therapy and Holistic Health.   Julie's private practice, Living True, has been supporting people in feeling their best since 2003.  She also works at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, working on the Staff and Oncology Patients as they receive their chemotherapy treatments and await bone marrow transplants. Julie is also an Instructor, and has taught since 2004 at World School of Massage, Western Career College, National Holistic Institute, and workshops around the globe.   Her passion lies in supporting clients and students in feeling their optimal and most true self, while understanding their own body, functionality, and healing potentials. ## Education and  Experience: Julie has over 2000 hours of training and education in Massage, Holistic Health and the Human Body. Her training began at the World School of Massage in San Francisco in 2003, where she continued on to be a teacher, trainer and Co-director.  She gained a certificate as a Master Bodyworker and Holistic Health Practitioner, and began working in her community and building private clientele. Julie has worked in spas as well as collaborated with other Healthcare professionals such as Chiropractors, Acupuncturist, Dentists and Physicians. She has been a part of wellness teams in corporate environments, including larger companies like Google, Apple Inc. and Genentech.  She has offered Massage at exciting gigs ranging from large music concerts to private weddings.  Julie's newest endeavor includes working with Oncology Patients to help ease their tension, anxiety and pain while they receive treatment. Throughout her career, she continues to take courses to add to her skills and to gain additional perspectives on ways to heal.  She has taken courses in Hawaii, Thailand, and throughout the lower 48 states. Julie has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nutrition, Vibrational Healing, Applied Kinesiology, Aromatherapy, Yoga, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and much more.   Julie has a great understanding of Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology, and Injury Rehabilitation.  She is happy to help others understand how our bodies function and where our pain or dysfunction may be stemming from.   Julie has learned the most over her years while teaching and mentoring hundreds of Massage Therapy students and fellow teachers. She has created curriculum for 3 Core Massage programs and a Neuromuscular Therapy program. She has trained many employees and teachers in technique, lecture material and mentoring. Julie also loves to combine her passion of travel with teaching and has lead retreats in Costa Rica, Maui and locally in her community. Julie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from California State Chico which she feels supports her in communicating effectively with her clients and students.  It is her goal to help calm the mind, by calming the body and spirit.  She will listen to your goals and support you in optimizing your health and well-being.  Julie is also a wife and a mom of two beautiful little girls and loves spending time with her family and friends. If you don't cancel or show up for your appointment, you'll be charged the full price.
